Unlike other manufacturers, we have had our cabinet certified and tested by independent third parties. The Fraunhofer ICT Institute already dealt with the BATTERY line in 2019 and confirmed the outstanding protection of the DÜPERTHAL cabinet line.

WHY DÜPERTHAL?
Confirmed classification type 90, i.e.90 minutes fire resistance according to DIN EN 14470-1 or DIN EN 1363-1 - as well as explosive burning of batteries in the interior tested by Fraunhofer Institute.
In the event of a fire inside the cabinet, the doors are automatically closed and locked to prevent a backdrafts (smoke gas explosion).
Thermally insulated storage shelves and oxygen reduction solved by design prevent fire jumping within the storage level and adjacent fire compartments.
More than a cabinet
The problem solver
- Confirmed classification type 90, i.e.90 minutes fire resistance according to DIN EN 14470-1 or DIN EN 1363-1 - as well as explosive burning of batteries in the interior tested by Fraunhofer Institute.
- In case of fire - inside and outside - a thermocouple automatically triggers the non-blocking door closure.
- In case of fire, automatic interlocking inside the cabinet to prevent smoke gas explosions (backdraft).
- In the event of an accident, the ventilation ducts can also be used to safely discharge the flue gases and outgassing.
- Ready to plug in, including fuse box with residual current circuit breaker - for disconnection
from the mains, in case of failure fused with residual current circuit breaker 16 A, reverse polarity protected plug CEE L+N+PE 6h,
max. total power: 3,68 kW - Per storage area 4 sockets for chargers prepared including fused power supply with
circuit breaker per storage area 10 A - Three-phase supply voltage 400 V for up to 32 sockets with max. total power 11.04 kW alternatively possible
- Thermally insulated storage floors and oxygen reduction solved by design prevent fire jumping within the storage level and adjacent fire compartments.
- Intelligent and sensor-controlled systems can be used preventively as early warning systems for monitoring and reporting through to the emergency call center. This can be done optionally with SMS alerting via SMS module via 4G LTE-M network or via e-mail and SMS alerting online via DÜPERTHAL connect.
- Individual level of prevention possible, e.g. to meet the requirements of VdS 3103:2019-06 for storage of lithium batteries of the medium power category. Via the on-site connection of the fire alarm system (BMA) and the potential-free contact enables timely evacuation and fire-fighting in the event of a fire.
The BATTERY line safety storage cabinets are specially constructed for the high demands on a safe storing and charging of lithium-ion batteries which could catch fire in the event of malfunctions.
In case of a fire inside or outside of the safety storage cabinet, separate thermocouples on the top at the internal cabinet wall and for each storage shelf automatically initiate the closing of the doors.
Additionally of monitoring the door status, ventilation and temperature by sensors, fault notification e.g. to fire department and responsible persons and individual connection to a fire alarm system possible.
Protection of the storage contents against external thermal influences and fused power supply for chargers prepared - ready to plug in.

THE DÜPERTHAL BATTERY line
The BATTERY line safety cabinets are specially constructed to meet the high requirements for the safe storage and charging of lithium-ion batteries, which can self-ignite in the event of malfunction. With the Type 90 classification and the explosive burning of the batteries inside tested by the independent Fraunhofer Institute, the BATTERY line offers double fire protection - enough time for evacuation and buffer for fire fighting.
In conventional storage cabinets, working materials are not protected from external thermal influences. In the case of fire, this can lead to increased personal and material damage. DÜPERTHAL Type 90 safety cabinets, on the contrast, reliably offer 90 minutes of fire resistance in accordance with DIN EN 14470-1 or DIN EN 1363-1 and are considered a fire-resistant separated area (fire compartment) in accordance with TRGS 510.
